Dettifoss, Selfoss and Hafragilsfoss Super Jeep Tour from Myvatn, 4 Hours, Hotel Pickup

Dettifoss is the headline, but this four-hour Super Jeep tour from the Mývatn area adds two neighbors on the same river: Selfoss and Hafragilsfoss. The guide drives the group to Dettifoss and stays at the waterfall for 2 to 3 hours depending on conditions. The hike is about 2.5 km in total and can run longer when the weather is good. On the way back from Dettifoss the group walks to Selfoss, a waterfall close by. Hafragilsfoss can only be reached by Super Jeep, and sometimes not even then, so the drive down to it happens whenever conditions allow. Hotel pickup and drop-off, a local driver and guide, local taxes, and snow shoes or crampons when needed are included. Food and drinks are not. Dress warmly and wear good shoes for the walk to Dettifoss. The tour needs at least a moderate level of fitness and is not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health.
