Krka National Park tours and tickets: what a day costs
A ticket is under 30 EUR in January and 30 to 60 EUR in July, and a shared coach day from Split is in the 30 to 60 EUR band before it. The park and 36 tours, read on 22 October 2026.
An adult ticket to Krka costs under 30 EUR in January and 30 to 60 EUR in July. The month changes the price of the visit more than any tour does: in summer the cheapest coach seat from Split, under 30 EUR, costs less than the gate. This page is about the park as a system, with its entrances, tickets, boats, hours and rules, and it sends you to the two pages that sell the 36 tours. Skradinski buk is what most people mean by Krka, but the park covers 109 km² and its falls come in a chain along one river. Many visitors arrive on a coach day from Split and see one waterfall. The park holds more: a lake with an island monastery, a second set of falls, and a network of boats and buses that the ticket already pays for. Park figures come from its own 2027 price list and website, and tour figures from the listings we read on 22 October 2026.
Choose a starting point first. Tours from Split are the cheap and crowded end, and the Split page reads 20 of them. Tours from Zadar and Šibenik are fewer and dearer, and the Zadar and Šibenik page reads 16. The Croatia page sets Krka against Plitvice for anyone still deciding between the two parks. Prices are per person, private tours included: only 5 of the 14 private listings quote one price for the whole group.

Krka National Park: seven barriers on one river
The park was proclaimed in 1985 and covers 109 km² in Šibenik-Knin county. The Krka builds its own dams out of tufa, and there are seven of them along the river. Skradinski buk is the seventh, the final and the longest, and it is the one almost every tour visits: a 1,900 m one-way circular trail leads around it. Roški slap is the sixth. Between them lies Visovac, a lake the park's boats cross to an island with a Franciscan monastery. None of the Split listings we opened goes there.
Where the falls are, and how far the bases are
The map puts Skradinski buk and the town of Skradin in the south-west corner of the park, a short way from Šibenik. Visovac and Roški slap lie up the river to the north. Split and Trogir are on the coast to the south-east, Zadar to the north-west. The Split operators quote about 90 km and 1.5 hours to the park and Zadar about an hour. A speedboat listing leaves from the Šibenik waterfront instead of a bus station.
Entrances: the one you use decides what the ticket gives you
Skradinski buk has two entrances, Lozovac and Skradin, and the park counts 10 entrances in all. From Skradin the ticket includes a boat to the falls and back. From Lozovac it includes a bus down to the falls and back. Both run only from 1 April to 31 October. Roški slap has its own gate at Laškovica, with a bus that runs from 1 June to 30 September. Burnum and Manojlovac are separate sites that close from November to March.
Roški slap, the quieter end
The photo shows Roški slap from the water, with one of the park's excursion boats on the left. You reach it by the Laškovica bus from 1 June to 30 September, or on the four-hour boat excursion from Skradinski buk that stops at Visovac and gives 90 minutes at the falls. In 2027 that excursion is under 30 EUR, on top of the entrance ticket.
What the ticket costs
| Ticket | Jan to Mar, Nov, Dec | Apr, May, Oct | Jun to Sep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adult, all sites | Under 30 EUR | Under 30 EUR | 30 to 60 EUR, less after 3 pm |
| Adult, without Skradinski buk | Under 30 EUR | Under 30 EUR | Under 30 EUR |
| Child 7 to 18, all sites | Under 30 EUR | Under 30 EUR | Under 30 EUR |
| Child or student, without Skradinski buk | Under 30 EUR | Under 30 EUR | Under 30 EUR |
| Adult in an organized group of 20 or more, all sites | Under 30 EUR | Under 30 EUR | Under 60 EUR, less after 3 pm |
Children under 7 enter free. The cheaper ticket covers Roški slap, Manojlovac, Burnum and the other minor sites, not Skradinski buk. The group row matters more than it looks. It needs at least 20 people and written notice 24 hours ahead, so it is what a tour operator buys, and the group rates that the Split listings quote at the gate match it, so on a coach tour you most likely pay that. On your own you pay the individual price.
On a Split coach tour you most likely pay the park's group price. On your own you pay the higher individual rate in summer.

Visovac, the lake the coaches skip
The photo looks down on the lake of Visovac from the surrounding hills. The park's rules keep dogs off the island, and its boats make a 30-minute stop there on the 2-hour and 4-hour trips. One Split day tour divides five park hours evenly between the falls and Skradin, which leaves no room for it.

Rules that the listings leave out
The park's rules page bans drones and allows dogs only on a lead. The park's FAQ allows swimming only in designated areas at Roški slap, Stinice and Pisak, from 1 June to 30 September, at your own risk and depending on weather and water level, and bans it outside those areas and dates. Its page on Skradinski buk says plainly that swimming there is not allowed. The park does not date the ban. One listing puts it in January 2021, another in January 2020. Many titles still say swimming, and the ones we opened mean the beach at Skradin.
Skradinski buk is for looking at, not for swimming.
Jaruga, the power plant on the tour
Several listings call Jaruga the second hydroelectric plant in the world and the first in Europe. The IEEE milestone page, the most careful source we found, claims less: on 28 August 1895 electricity made at Jaruga reached Šibenik, in one of the first complete multiphase AC systems. It had 340 street lights and six transformer stations. Only ruins of the first plant remain, and the second, built in 1903, still runs. We do not repeat the ranking.

Which tour: from Split, or from Zadar and Šibenik
Two starting points, two price ranges
The chart shows the median and the middle half of listings for each starting point. From Split the median sits in the 30 to 60 EUR band over 20 tours, with the middle half running from roughly 30 to 250 EUR. From Zadar and Šibenik it is in the 120 to 250 EUR band over 16 tours, with the middle half from roughly 60 to 500 EUR. The Split bar starts low because eleven shared coaches sit under 60 EUR. The Zadar bar starts higher because few operators run a shared coach from there, and three private days from Zadar and Šibenik, all in roughly the 250 to 1,000 EUR range, quote one price for the whole group.
| From Split | From Zadar and Šibenik | |
|---|---|---|
| Tours listed | 20 | 16 |
| Typical price, all formats | 30 to 60 EUR | 120 to 250 EUR |
| Shared coach or minibus | Under 60 EUR for 11 coaches, ticket extra | Roughly 30 to 120 EUR, ticket in or out |
| Private | 7 listings, roughly 120 to 1,000 EUR; 2 quote a group price | 7 listings, roughly 120 to 1,000 EUR; 3 quote a group price |
| Hotel pickup included | 40% | 75% |
| Weighted rating | 4.88 on 33,085 reviews | 4.65 on 334 reviews |
The ratings tell their own story. The Split tours are well proven: three listings hold 19,838 reviews, and one operator, Booker, holds 51% of them. The Zadar and Šibenik tours rest on 334 reviews in total, so a 4.65 there is a thin number. Read the single listings before trusting the page average.
Questions about Krka National Park
How much does a day at Krka cost?
From Split on a shared coach in July, in the 60 to 120 EUR band: the median seat is in the 30 to 60 EUR band and the listings add the park ticket at the gate. On your own an adult pays 30 to 60 EUR in June to September, less after 3 pm, and under 30 EUR in April, May and October. The boat from Skradin is included in the ticket.
Can you swim at Krka?
Not at Skradinski buk, where the park's own page rules it out. Elsewhere the park's FAQ allows swimming only in designated areas at Roški slap, Stinice and Pisak, from 1 June to 30 September, at your own risk. The tours we read that mention a swim place it at the town beach in Skradin, which is not one of those three areas, so ask the operator.
Which entrance should I use?
On a tour, the operator decides. On your own, Skradin gives you the boat to Skradinski buk and Lozovac gives you the bus. Both are in the ticket from 1 April to 31 October. Roški slap has a separate gate at Laškovica, and its bus runs only from 1 June to 30 September.
How long do I need at Skradinski buk?
The loop is 1,900 m one way. One Split listing gives 2.5 hours at the falls and 2.5 in Skradin, another gives a one-hour guided walk inside three hours of free time. About two and a half hours covers the loop at a relaxed pace; Visovac and Roški slap need the longer boat trips.
Is Krka open in winter?
Yes, with limits. From November to March the hours are 9:00 to 16:00, or 17:00 in March, the entrance is at its lowest rate, under 30 EUR, and the boat and the Lozovac bus do not run. The park is closed on 25 and 26 December and opens only at Lozovac on 1 January.
