Level 1 canyoning in Ribeira das Cales (the location is also given as Ribeiro Frio) is aimed at beginners. The canyon holds six waterfalls, each with its own shape and its own problem to solve. Three jumps are optional for anyone who wants more thrill, and a 15 m abseil closes the route. The outing is short from start to finish, which makes it a gentle first step into canyoning. Guides lead the group and manage safety throughout.
