Level 1 Canyoning in Madeira for Beginners and Families, 5 Hours with Transport
This Level 1 canyon in Madeira runs at roughly 1,500 m (4,921 ft) above sea level and is built for people trying the sport for the first time, families included. The route has two rappelling areas. Between them the canyon sets its own obstacles: some are passed by rappelling, others by swimming or jumping. The quoted five hours cover the whole outing, not just the canyon itself. That total includes transportation, time to put on and take off the equipment, the walk in and the walk out, the safety briefings and the descent. Waterfalls and rough terrain are part of the route. The level suits anyone who wants to try canyoning for the first time, and the guides set the pace through each obstacle.
