Montmorency Falls E-Bike Tour with Cable Car and Suspension Bridge from Old Quebec
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Quebec CityGuides lead this e-bike ride from the meeting point on Rue Saint-Paul out to Montmorency Falls, which drop from a greater height than Niagara Falls. Pedalling is only part of it. The route is built around stops, and the guides talk about what each one is. First comes Domaine de Maizerets, a well-preserved historic estate with a landscaped garden on one of the first concessions of New France. Next is the Bay of Beauport, known to water sport enthusiasts for kiteboarding, with the St. Lawrence River in front and Île d'Orléans as the backdrop. At the falls the bikes are parked. A cable car runs from the bottom of the falls to the top of the cliff, and a boardwalk leads on to the suspension bridge. The trail to the bridge gives the best views of the roaring water, so this part is covered on foot. Riders should arrive 15 minutes before departure. The meeting point is close to the VIA train station and the Garde du Palais bus station, with parking lots and street pay stations nearby.
