Montreal Full-Day Trip: Montmorency Falls, Old Quebec Walk and Seasonal Add-Ons
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
MontrealThis full-day trip from Montreal combines a waterfall and a walking tour of a historic city. Guests meet at 68 Boul. René-Lévesque Ouest before 7:00 AM. The first major stop is Montmorency Falls, 30 meters taller than Niagara Falls. Visitors can take in the panorama from the suspension bridge or listen to the roar from the base. When the cable car is running, it goes down to the bottom of the falls, and a one-way cable car ride is offered if available. In Old Quebec, a guided walk covers cobblestone streets, centuries-old buildings, the Château Frontenac, Dufferin Terrace, the Petit-Champlain district and Place Royale, with its bronze statue of King Louis XIV. Free time follows in the Petit Champlain quarter. Some extras depend on the month. From January to March there is an ice hotel; from March to May and November to December a museum focused on the culture and history of Québec; from May to October a 1.5-hour river cruise from Old Quebec, passing Île d'Orléans. An optional visit to the oldest cathedral in North America can be done during free time. For bookings made on or after September 11, 2026, the cable car is seasonal and may be closed on certain dates for maintenance.
