Private Iguazu Falls Tour with Border Photo Stop, Drinks and Two-Day Option
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Foz do IguacuThe route is set by the guests. A private guide speaks the guests' own language (German, Russian, Portuguese, Mandarin, Japanese, English, Italian, French or Spanish), and the pace follows what the group wants to see on the Brazilian and Argentine sides. The day starts at a meeting point opposite the Ibis Hotel on Avenida Jorge Schimmelpfeng in Foz do Iguacu. Along with the falls there is a photo stop at the point where Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet, and a Puerto Iguazu city tour. Mineral water, soft drinks or fruit juices come with the transport. Guests on the same day as arrival or departure also get airport transfers. A boat trip or helicopter flight can be booked on site for an extra cost. On request the excursion can be split over two days at no additional charge. Tickets for the national parks of both countries are not included. Bring non-slip shoes, rain protection, sunscreen and mosquito spray. The tour takes eight hours and up to 30 travelers.

Iguazu Falls National Park
Argentina's national park became a World Heritage Site in 1985 and Brazil's followed a year later. Since 2012 the falls count among the seven natural wonders of the world. Trails and footbridges run through the subtropical rainforest along the upper river. Jaguars have increased through the Projeto Carnivoro predator program. The parks hold over 76 mammals, including tapirs, pumas and capuchin monkeys, over 400 bird species and thousands of flowering plants.

A photo stop at the tri-border point where Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet. This is where the Rio Iguacu flows into the Rio Parana, one of the richest rivers in South America.

Parque Nacional do Iguacu
The Brazilian and Argentine parks face each other like twin parks. Iguacu has been a World Heritage Site since 1986 and lies in the state of Parana. More than 75% of the waterfalls are in Argentine territory, so the best panoramas are from the Brazilian side.
