VIP Île d'Orléans Food Tour with Lunch, Local Producers and Montmorency Falls Stop
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Quebec CityFood is the focus of this VIP outing to Île d'Orléans, a farming island where agricultural landscapes surround each stop. A driver and a certified, experienced guide take guests round, explaining the island's history, culture and heritage as the tastings unfold. The experience includes a full lunch spread over 3 to 5 gourmet stops, depending on the season, plus encounters with local producers and artisans. The first stop is a local farm. Another shows how local produce is processed to keep it longer and promote it, with tastings and detailed explanations on site. There is a cider made from apples, tasted where it is produced, and a vineyard that explains how grapes survive an extreme climate, from very hot to freezing, and offers local wines. Montmorency Falls, Québec's highest waterfall at 83 meters, are also on the route, and they can serve as the start or the end of the visit. The meeting point is the operator's office, HQ Services Touristiques, 112 Rue Saint-Paul in the Lower Town. A tip of 15 to 20% at the end is strongly recommended.
