Arenal Rainforest Horseback Ride to La Fortuna Waterfall, Minimum Age 7, Two-Rider Minimum

Horses carry riders through tropical rainforest, among a wide variety of plants and animals, to La Fortuna Waterfall. The meeting point is Catarata Rio Fortuna, where secure parking is free. Hotel pickup and drop-off, a professional guide, the horseback ride and a helmet are all included. The limits are firm. The minimum age is 7, a booking needs at least 2 people and takes at most 14, and the maximum rider weight is 220 pounds. Long pants are required for riding, swimwear is worth bringing, and restrooms are available between the activities. The walk down to the waterfall is a moderate hike, so visitors need to be in good physical condition. Souvenir photos, alcoholic drinks and other food and drinks are not included. The ride is not recommended for pregnant travelers or for travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health. Guiding is available in English and Spanish.
