Atlas Mountains Day Trip from Marrakech: Four Valleys, Waterfall Hike and Camel Ride
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Central MoroccoFour valleys in one day is the pitch of this Atlas Mountains trip from Marrakech, and the Ourika Valley is the best known of them. The day starts with pickup at a hotel in Marrakech and heads into the mountains, with stops in traditional Berber villages where a guide explains how people live there. A guided hike leads to a series of waterfalls, and herbal tea is served with mountain views. A camel ride crosses part of the scenery, and the panoramic views take in the surrounding mountains and valleys. Early on, the group watches Berber women make argan oil at a cooperative, then sits down to a traditional breakfast of mint tea, fresh bread, argan oil and honey. The route continues through green valleys with the Ourika Valley among the stops. The return leg brings the group back to the hotel in Marrakech, with mountain views along the road to finish the day.
