Ban Gioc Waterfall and Angel Mountain 2-Day Car Tour with Quay Son River Stay
Two days by car from Hanoi, with a local guide and a route that leaves the main roads for border-belt tracks and village lanes. The aim is Ban Gioc Waterfall, but the trip also stops at Angel Mountain, drives through Tay, Nung and Dao villages and spends the night beside the Quay Son river. The Limousine Van collects guests in the Hanoi Old Quarter at 5:50 and reaches Cao Bang City between 13:00 and 14:00 for lunch and a rest. The afternoon runs along the Global Geopark road over Ma Phuc Pass, past stilt houses, to Angel Mountain and its green valley with a stream. From there the road follows the border belt through the villages of the Tay, Nung and Dao peoples, where trucks and containers are rare. The group checks in to a homestay or hotel on the Quay Son river around 17:30, with time for a swim before a dinner of Cao Bang dishes. The second morning starts at Nguom Ngao Cave (Tiger Cave) at 7:30, then Ban Gioc Waterfall with a boat ride toward the falls, and Truc Lam Zen Monastery, whose pagoda overlooks the water. The way back to Cao Bang uses a different road, and lunch is duck noodle soup or sour noodle in the city. The Limousine Van leaves at 14:00 and reaches Hanoi in the evening, between 21:00 and 22:00.
