Two river stops share one three-hour outing from Ocho Rios. The first is the Blue Hole, also called Island Gully Falls, a chain of natural limestone pools and sinkholes along a river. Guests can jump or swing into the water, explore a cave, or simply watch from the bank under the rainforest canopy. The drive in and around Ocho Rios is guided. The second stop is Rio Nuevo, where a guide leads a bamboo raft down a calm river lined with rainforest, heading toward the ocean. The rafters offer a limestone massage on request at an extra cost. An air-conditioned vehicle is provided, with all fees and taxes included. Bottled water and rum punch (ages 18 and over) come with the shopping stop. Gratuities are not included, nor are towels and water shoes, which can be bought on site and are required. Travelers should have a moderate level of fitness. The outing is not recommended for pregnant travelers, people with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health. Up to 15 travelers per booking, guiding in English.
