Cao Bang Full-Day Easy Rider Motorbike Tour: Ban Gioc, Nguom Ngao Cave, Craft Villages (7/7)

This is a full day on the back of a motorbike, about 180 km in total, with an Easy Rider and an English-speaking guide from Cao Bang Travel. Groups are small, four to six people. Guide and rider were born and raised in Cao Bang, so the mountain roads and the communities along them are familiar ground. The day begins at the Cao Bang Travel office in Cao Bang City with a route briefing, helmet fitting, luggage check and a safety inspection of the motorbike. The route goes first over Ma Phuc Pass, stopping at a viewpoint above winding roads and limestone peaks. Two craft villages come next: Phja Thap, where a Nung An community makes incense by hand, and Phuc Sen, a village of metalworkers. Nguom Ngao Cave follows, with guided walking through underground chambers of stalactites and stalagmites. Ban Gioc Waterfall rises from the emerald Quay Son River, and a bamboo raft goes closer to the falls when local conditions allow. Lunch is at a local restaurant. A climb up hillside steps leads to Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc Pagoda, and the afternoon brings an easy hike or kayaking at Angel Eyes Mountain. The group is back at the office between about 5:20 and 6:00 PM, where the team can help with onward travel or bus tickets.
