Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Cao BangCao Bang is a UNESCO Global Geopark, and this tour fits its main sights into one day for travelers who cannot stay overnight. The pickup is at 7:00, either at the meeting point or at a hotel inside Cao Bang city. The day follows a loop. A car and guide leave at 7:30 for the northeast mountains, with photo stops at Ma Phuc Pass and a visit to the knife-forging village of Phuc Sen. Truc Lam Pagoda gives a view down over Ban Gioc, which is over 30 meters high and sits on the border between Vietnam and China. A boat on the river goes to the water's edge. After lunch at a local restaurant, the group walks through Nguom Ngao Cave, where the Four Pillars of Heaven rise as stone columns and the stalactites catch the light. The final leg returns by way of Trung Khanh and Tra Linh, a quiet road between rice fields. At Angel Eye Mountain (also called Thung Mountain), in Quoc Toan Commune, the rock has a round hole more than 50 meters across near the top. The group watches the sunset there, stops at Nam Tra waterfall, and is back in Cao Bang city at about 17:30.
