The day has two halves: the Damajagua waterfalls first, then a dune buggy ride. The falls take most of the time. Seven are done on this schedule, and visitors can jump from or slide between the big rocks. Nobody has to know how to swim, because guides and life vests come with the tour. The buggy section follows an established route through Dominican countryside, with small mountains, patches of water on the road to splash through, and a stop at a beach called Vergantin. The whole outing runs about five hours. The price covers entry to the waterfalls and to the dune buggy, soda, bottled water and Dominican mamajuana, and the air-conditioned vehicle has WiFi on board. Meals are not included. Guiding is in English and Spanish, and up to 15 travelers can book together. A moderate level of fitness is needed. Pregnant travelers and people with spinal injuries are advised against this tour. Infants must sit on an adult's lap, and infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller.
