Damajagua 7 Waterfalls Family Tour with Dominican Lunch and Chocolate Factory Visit

Dominican RepublicSeven Damajagua waterfalls are the program of this family-friendly shore excursion from the Amber Cove and Taino Bay cruise ports, run by DR Prime Tours. A moderate hike of 25 minutes leads through jungle. The group then heads back down the river, using the wooden stairs, jumping, swimming and sliding through falls and natural river pools. Along the way there are native plant species and local trees to see. The tour ends with an authentic Dominican lunch with a pop or soda, a beer and a visit to a chocolate factory. Age limits matter. Only children aged 7 or older can do the full seven-waterfall route. Infants may go only to waterfall number 1, supervised by a member of the family. Drop-off is at the same point as the pickup. Cruise travelers meet outside the port. At Amber Cove, pass the main gate, take the left sidewalk and walk 100 meters to the guide holding the DR Prime Tours logo. At Taino Bay, walk out past the taxis to the main gate. The best meeting time is an hour after docking, which avoids the crowd at the park. Keep your phone on, since the operator may call with directions to the meeting point. Hotel pickups are also listed from several resorts around Puerto Plata.
