Discover Herzegovina from Mostar: Skywalk Views, Blagaj, Počitelj and Kravice
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
MostarHerzegovina packs history, countryside, waterfalls and food into a small area, and this day tour from Mostar is made for travelers with a single free day. An expert local guide leads it, and pickup is at 8:00 a.m. The first stop is Fortica Hill, ten minutes from Mostar by road, where the Fortica skywalk looks over the whole city. The guide uses the pause to cover the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina and spends about ten minutes on the 1992 to 1995 war in Mostar, with first-hand stories. Blagaj comes next: a Dervish house cut into a cliff in the 16th century, beside the Buna spring, one of the strongest springs in Europe. After it comes Počitelj, a medieval stone town built in the 14th century on the order of the Bosnian king Tvrtko, set in a natural karst amphitheater above the Neretva. Figs, grapes and pomegranates can be eaten there. The day ends at the Kravice falls, with time to swim, ride a canoe, sit on the nearby beaches or have lunch and a cold drink in the restaurants facing the falls.
