Kravica Tours from Mostar, Sarajevo and Split: Prices, Stops and Hours
A shared day typically costs 30 to 60 EUR from Mostar, and 60 to 120 EUR from Sarajevo and from Split. Kravica gets about an hour of it, and the gate is usually extra.
A shared Kravica day from Mostar typically costs 30 to 60 EUR and takes 8 hours. From Sarajevo the same falls typically cost 60 to 120 EUR and take 10 to 12 hours. From Split it is 60 to 120 EUR and 12 hours, in four listings from four operators. These are the 20 tours on this page, and they are the cheaper, better rated half of the Kravica market: 4.92 once weighted, against 4.73 for the Dubrovnik tours. What they share is that Kravica is rarely the whole day. It is one stop among four or five, and on the Sarajevo day it gets about an hour of twelve. The falls, the gate ticket and the swimming rules are on the Kravica Waterfalls page. This page is about the day around them.

Most of these days start early, at 8:00 in Mostar and Sarajevo and between 6:05 and 7:00 on the Split side, so ask where you are dropped off before you book a late train or a ferry.

Kravica tours from Mostar, Sarajevo and Split compared
| Start | Shared listings | Price band | Hours | Start time and stops |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mostar | 6 | 30 to 60 EUR | 6 to 8, plus one 1-hour transfer | 8:00 pickup; Fortica skywalk, Blagaj, Počitelj, Kravica last |
| Sarajevo | 5 round trips, 1 one-way | 60 to 120 EUR | 10 to 12 | 8:00 from the old town; Konjic, Blagaj, Počitelj, Kravica, Mostar |
| Split, Trogir, Omiš | 4 | 60 to 120 EUR, all four | 12 | 7:00 Split, 6:15 Trogir, 6:05 Omiš; Počitelj, Mostar, Kravica last |
The table is read in the order the stops run, as the listings give them. From Mostar and from Split the waterfall is the last stop of the day, which is good for a swim after the heat and bad if the day runs late. The Meet Bosnia day from Sarajevo runs Konjic, Blagaj, Počitelj, Kravica and then Mostar.
Guide languages are worth a look before you pay. The Meet Bosnia day offers English, Italian, Turkish and Spanish, while Discover Herzegovina and the Gray Line day from Split list English only. Group sizes are in the listings too: both Bosnian days take up to 15 travelers per booking, the Split one up to 30.
Počitelj, the stop nearly every day shares
Počitelj is the village of stone houses on the Neretva that most of these days include. A listing says it was built in the 14th century on the order of the Bosnian king Tvrtko and calls it an open-air museum. Another says the World Monuments Watch put it on its list of the 100 most endangered sites. The Sarajevo day gives it 20 minutes, and the Dubrovnik tours climb its tower on the way back.
The photo shows a stone tower in the foreground, the mosque with its dome and minaret on the slope, and the river at the left. It is the sort of place that gets 20 minutes on a 12-hour day, and that is the day's real shape.
From Mostar: the short day
Six shared listings start in Mostar, at 30 to 60 EUR, and the busiest has 1,064 reviews at 5.0. The Discover Herzegovina day picks you up at 8:00 and goes to the Fortica skywalk above Mostar, Blagaj, Počitelj and Kravica last. It says lunch is free time, in Počitelj around noon or at the falls around 1:30 in the afternoon, and that the Kravica entrance, a small amount, is extra, while parking fees are included. Two of the six are different products. One is a six-hour day at the falls at 30 to 60 EUR with 18 reviews, and the other is a one-hour transfer to the falls in the same band with 3. Two private tours from Mostar, 5 hours each, cost roughly 60 to 250 EUR. The first is priced per person; the second is the only price on this page quoted for the whole group, so check the group size it allows: for a party of three or more it works out cheaper per head.
From Sarajevo: a twelve-hour loop
Five round trips leave Sarajevo, at 60 to 120 EUR, and most add Konjic, Blagaj, Počitelj and Mostar to Kravica, in one case with a brunch. The Meet Bosnia Travel day leaves from its office in the old town at 8:00 and allots Konjic 30 minutes, Blagaj 45, Počitelj 20 and Kravica one hour, with the rest of the 12 hours in the van and in Mostar. A travel blog puts Sarajevo to Kravica at about 3 hours. A sixth listing is a one-way run from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik via Mostar, Kravica, Blagaj and Počitelj in the 120 to 250 EUR band, with 18 reviews. And the cheapest private day, for 10 hours, in the 60 to 120 EUR band, is also from Sarajevo.
On the Sarajevo day Počitelj gets 20 minutes and Kravica an hour. The road gets the rest.
From Split: the Dubrovnik day, from the other side
Four operators sell the same 12-hour day from Split, Trogir and Omiš at 60 to 120 EUR: Gray Line Croatia, Šugaman Tours, Booker and Tours in Croatia. The Gray Line listing meets in Split at 7:00, Trogir at 6:15 and Omiš at 6:05, and asks for the passport at check-in and the passport details at booking. It lists the Kravica entrance and a border crossing fee, both small amounts, as extras payable in cash at the meeting point. The stops are Počitelj, a guided walk in Mostar and Kravica last. Split to Mostar is about 2.5 hours with a border, so the swim comes in the afternoon.
What the price buys
Each mark is one of the 20 listings, placed by length and price. The 16 shared tours, the blue dots, sit between roughly 30 and 120 EUR except for one in the 120 to 250 EUR band, the one-way run to Dubrovnik. The shortest, 1 hour, costs 30 to 60 EUR, and the 12-hour round trips 60 to 120 EUR.
The four orange diamonds are the private tours: two 5-hour half days from Mostar, one priced per person and one for the whole group, and two 10-hour days from Sarajevo, all roughly 60 to 250 EUR. The dashed line is the median of all 20 and sits close to the shared median.
What the price leaves out
| Listing | Price band | Left out or included |
|---|---|---|
| Discover Herzegovina Day Tour from Mostar | 30 to 60 EUR | Kravica entrance extra; parking fees and the guide included; lunch is free time |
| Sarajevo: Mostar, Blagaj, Pocitelj, Waterfall, Konjic with fees | 60 to 120 EUR | Kravica and Blagaj entrance included if you select the option at checkout; a sandwich and water included |
| From Split/Trogir/Omiš: Mostar, Počitelj and Kravica | 60 to 120 EUR | Kravica entrance and a border fee, both small amounts paid in cash at the meeting point |
| Visit Kravice Waterfalls, from Mostar | 30 to 60 EUR | Private transport only; lunch not included; one hour |
The pattern is that the cheaper the headline, the more is added on the day. The cheapest day becomes dearer with the gate. The Split day grows with the gate and the border fee before lunch. The Sarajevo listing that says with fees in its title is the one that includes them, if you select it. Read the not-included list first and add it up.
Who runs these tours
There are 16 operators. Meet Bosnia Travel holds 22% of the 6,226 reviews through its Sarajevo day and a private tour. The top three listings hold 60%: Gray Line Croatia (1,334 reviews, 4.8), Meet Bosnia (1,329, 4.9) and Mostar Travel Agency (1,064, 5.0). Twelve of the 20 listings are rated 5.0, but six of those rest on fewer than 30 reviews. Weighted, the page averages 4.92, the highest on the Kravica pages. With that spread, use the rating to avoid the weakest listings, not to choose among the big three.
Mistakes on a Kravica day from Bosnia or Split
The first is booking the Sarajevo day for the waterfall: you will spend about 3 hours getting there and one at it. The second is reading the headline price as the whole cost, when the gate and lunch are not in it. The third is taking the one-way Sarajevo to Dubrovnik listing as a round trip. The fourth is assuming the Split day avoids the border: it crosses one, and the Gray Line listing asks for the passport at check-in and a fee in cash. The fifth is arriving at Kravica in winter and expecting the swim, when the park closes at 17:00 from November to February.
Questions about Kravica tours from Mostar, Sarajevo and Split
How far is Kravica from Mostar?
A listing says 45 minutes and a travel blog about an hour. The falls are 7 km from Ljubuški, in Herzegovina. From Mostar the cheapest shared days cost 30 to 60 EUR for 6 to 8 hours and add Blagaj and Počitelj.
Can you visit Kravica from Sarajevo in a day?
Yes. Five round-trip listings run 10 to 12 hours at 60 to 120 EUR, starting around 8:00 and adding Konjic, Blagaj, Počitelj and Mostar. A travel blog puts the drive at about 3 hours each way, so the falls get an hour.
Is the Kravica entrance included on these tours?
Mostly not. Discover Herzegovina lists it as an extra. The Split day from Gray Line lists it as a cash extra, plus a border fee. One Sarajevo listing includes it if you select the option at checkout. A silent listing is not including it.
Is a tour from Mostar cheaper than one from Dubrovnik?
Yes: typically 30 to 60 EUR shared against 60 to 120 EUR from Dubrovnik, and you are already in Bosnia, so there is no border. You also get a shorter day, 8 hours against 10 at the median.
Is it worth taking the Kravica tour from Split?
It is a 12-hour day at 60 to 120 EUR with a border crossing, the gate and a border fee on top, and the falls come last, in the afternoon. Four operators sell the same day at the same price, so choose on the review count and the meeting point.
Coming from the Croatian coast?
The Dubrovnik page covers the border, the passport and why shared and private tours sit in two price bands.
