Eco Chontales is a waterfall canyon in the Southern Pacific of Costa Rica. The trip starts with a scenic drive along the coastline, followed by a short hike down to the river. On entering the canyon, the group comes face to face with a 150-foot waterfall. Guides lead the way through what the place has to offer: several calm swimming holes, good photo spots, a mini waterslide and places to jump from. The small jump is 6 feet. The big one, for thrill-seekers, is about 9 meters (28 feet). After exploring the waterfall, the group sets up an on-the-spot spa and coats itself in naturally blue, mineral-rich clay. The rainforest clay is provided and comes from near fresh spring water, and it is known for its skin care properties. The meal comes last, a freshly cooked Costa Rican lunch at the river restaurant.
