Finca Los Solis Hike near Jaco: 10 Waterfalls and 8 Natural Pools, 2.5 to 3 Hours
Finca Los Solis is a patch of rainforest about 5 minutes from Jaco Beach, and the hike starts in its parking lot with a glass of sugar cane juice. From there the route heads for the first waterfall and then continues through the middle of the jungle, crossing rivers and ropes, with the other falls coming into view along the way. The guide talks about the medicinal plants used by the people of Pueblo Nuevo las Monas, and about the local flora and fauna. Along the trail there are cocoa trees, banana plants and many medicinal plants to look at. The area holds 10 waterfalls and 8 natural pools. Everyone can swim, and the most adventurous can jump in. How long the hike lasts depends on how much time the group spends at the falls, about 2.5 to 3 hours. Back at the office and parking area, lunch is waiting.
