Iguazu Falls Day Tour from Puerto Iguazu with Train, Jungle Truck and Boat
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Puerto IguazuThis Argentine-side day trip from Puerto Iguazu covers the park on foot, by ecological train, by open-air truck and by boat. A hotel pickup takes the group to Iguazu National Park, where toucans, parrots and coatis sometimes show up along the subtropical forest. The park entrance fee is not included. From the entrance the ecological train runs through the rainforest to the platform above the Devil's Throat, the largest and heaviest of the falls. A local specialized guide then leads the group along the lower circuit, which drops into the forest for the humidity, noise and smell of the jungle, or the upper circuit, which gives panoramic views from the top and walkways over the drop line of several jumps. There is free time for lunch, which is not included. Afterwards an open-air truck with a bilingual guide crosses the forest to the pier stairs, and a boat heads for the Tres Mosqueteros falls and the San Martin fall. The ride covers 6 km, 2 km of them rapids, and everyone gets soaked. A restriction list applies to the boat, and a very low or very high river can affect it, which happens about twice a year. The guide picks which circuit comes first to avoid queues.
