Jaco ATV Tour to Two Jungle Waterfalls: Cascada del Zorro and Pura Vida Falls
Drivers take their own ATV up the mountain behind Jaco. The trail climbs through rainforest to a mirador just past the crest, where the ocean and its sands show as far south as Manuel Antonio, west to the Nicoya Peninsula and north to Puntarenas. Two waterfalls come next. Cascada del Zorro is about 35 feet high, a spot to get a little wet and take photos. Pura Vida Falls sits farther along, with a natural rock platform above the pool. Swimmers can cool off there, and anyone who wants to can jump more than 15 feet into the water. The ride then loops to the edge of Carara National Park before heading down to Adventure Tours in Jaco. Guides are patient with first-timers and stop often for photos and wildlife. Pickup in the Jaco area is included on request. Requirements: ATV drivers must be 16 or older with a valid driver's license. A refundable credit-card hold (Visa or Mastercard) of $500 per 2 ATVs is taken at check-in.

Jaco
The route starts in the mountains right behind Jacó and climbs about halfway to the summit, where the 35-foot Cascada del Zorro waits. It is a good place to get a little wet and take photos. A short way past the crest, a mirador looks out over the ocean and its sands: south to Manuel Antonio Park, west to the Nicoya Peninsula and north to the port city of Puntarenas.
-
Catarata Bijagual
The ride follows the mountain tops through rainforest to the second waterfall, Pura Vida. A natural rock platform crowns the falls, and thrill-seekers can jump more than 15 feet into the pool below. Rushing water and the calls of exotic birds fill the stop. The tour ends on a loop past the edge of the famous Carara National Park, then the descent back to Adventure Tours in Jaco.
