Krka Group Tour from Split with Watermills, Boat Ride and Skradin Fortress Walk
A group departs Split in an air-conditioned vehicle, and the guide explains the area on the way. Inside Krka National Park the trails are well maintained, and the old stone houses that locals once used as workshops and watermills are still standing. A licensed guide takes the group around Skradinski Buk, the longest waterfall on the Krka river, and past the water mills, rolling mills and washing columns of traditional folk architecture. The ethno-village, which holds the Golden Flower of Europe award, tells the history and biodiversity of the falls. The guide also points out the park's 1,022 recorded plant species and its endemic, rare and threatened animals. A 30-minute boat ride then leads to Skradin, a town that was once a Roman municipality and later fell under Venetian and Turkish rule. Time there, about an hour and a half, goes to the picturesque streets, the medieval fortress and a swim from the pebble beach, where the Krka meets the sea. The group meets in front of the Daluma Travel agency on Obala kneza Domagoja in Split.
