The guide starts this bus tour from Split with the main facts about Krka National Park, then walks the group to the small ethno-village and on to Skradinski Buk, the largest waterfall in the park. Next comes the Jaruga hydroelectric power plant, the second oldest in the world and the first in Europe. Free time inside the park follows, long enough for photos and a slow walk along the water. From the park a panoramic boat ride goes to Skradin, one of the oldest towns on Croatia's coast. In town there is time to walk the old core, visit the little fortress for its views, have lunch, or swim at the beach where the river meets the sea. The price covers the air-conditioned vehicle, an English-speaking guide, the boat cruise and insurance. Park entry tickets are not included and are paid in cash on the day. Up to 30 travelers can book together, sportswear is recommended, and the walking suits all fitness levels. Bring a camera.
