Krka Waterfalls Day Trip from Split with Sladic Winery Tasting
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
SplitThis day trip from Split runs by air-conditioned bus to Krka National Park, where a wooden path leads through a green area home to endemic birds, fish and butterflies. Guided time in the park also covers an ethno-village with traditional costumes and crafts, a small house dedicated to Nikola Tesla and old watermills. Below Skradinski Buk stands the Jaruga hydroelectric power plant, the second oldest in the world and the first in Europe. A boat ride then carries the group to Skradin. There is time to walk the little town, climb the fortress for panoramic views, have a cocktail or lunch at a bar or restaurant, or swim at a nearby beach where the Krka River meets the sea. The last stop is a family winery in the village of Plastovo. A local winemaker gives a short presentation, followed by a tasting of three wines along with spirits, an aperitif, homemade olive oil and local cheese. The guide speaks English, and up to 30 travelers can book together. Park entry tickets are not included and are paid in cash on the day.

Krka National Park
Krka is Croatia's seventh national park, known for its many waterfalls and named after the river that runs through it. It lies in central Dalmatia, a few kilometers northeast of Šibenik. The river drops over seven travertine waterfalls, a karst formation best seen in spring and summer.
