Las Pailas Trail, Oropendola Waterfall and Hot Springs Combo from Hacienda Guachipelin

Everything starts at the Adventure Center inside Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin near Liberia. The day opens on the Las Pailas trail in Rincon de la Vieja National Park, a walk where wildlife turns up along the way. A vehicle then takes the group toward Oropendola Waterfall, followed by a scenic walk to its blue pool, where swimming is possible. Next come the Rio Negro hot springs and volcanic mud baths, both included in the price. The package closes with a buffet lunch at the Hacienda Guachipelin restaurant. The national park entrance fee, hotel pickup and drop-off, bottled water, snacks and alcoholic drinks are not included. The tour takes about five hours, accepts up to 30 travelers per booking and is guided in English and Spanish. Moderate fitness is expected, and it is not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health.
