Miravalles Volcano and Las Hornillas Combo with Waterfalls, Hot Springs and Mud Baths
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Guanacaste and NorthwestHealing hot springs, mud baths and the volcanic scenery of the Miravalles region fill this day. A scenic drive crosses the Guanacaste mountain range to Miravalles volcano. At the volcano there is time to hike winding trails, visit natural waterfalls and look for hidden wildlife with naturalist guides. The guides also explain how the volcano's energy is used in government research projects that supply electricity to nearby communities, part of Costa Rica's goal of running the country without fossil fuels. The group then descends to Las Hornillas, where natural geysers can be seen at work. This section can be covered on horseback or by carriage, depending on energy level, and the day finishes in natural hot springs and mud baths. Cancellation is not possible once booked: all sales are final and no refund is available.
