Niagara Falls and Washington DC 3-Day Tour from New York with Corning Glass
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
New York CityTwo destinations in three days: Niagara Falls and Washington DC, with pickups from 7:00 am in Manhattan, Flushing and Jersey City. Booking at least 7 days ahead is advised, since hotel rooms can run short. The Niagara leg can include the Corning Museum of Glass, with more than 3,500 years of glass and an Innovation Center, and Watkins Glen State Park, whose gorge trail passes 19 waterfalls. The Niagara Falls night tour covers the three falls under lights. Whirlpool State Park shows a whirlpool 125 feet at its deepest. Summer tours add the Maid of the Mist, which rides into the mist thrown up by the falls; winter tours, when the boat is closed, add the Cave of the Winds on the New York side and Old Fort Niagara, a site more than 300 years old with Lake Ontario behind it. Washington DC starts with a coach ride past major landmarks, a hop-off at the Air Force Memorial, the Capitol Reflecting Pool, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and the World War II Memorial. A guided visit covers the US Capitol, the White House is the next stop, and 45 minutes go to the Lincoln, Korean War and Vietnam Veterans Memorials. Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, 55 acres of Old City, is on the route.
