Niagara Falls Day Trip from NYC by Flight with JTB Japanese-English Guide

This day trip replaces the long bus ride with a flight. Guests check in at the JetBlue counter at JFK Terminal 5 at least 2 hours before departure, fly 90 minutes to Buffalo and meet the guide at the airport. A van reaches the falls in about 30 minutes. The tour is operated by JTB, one of Japan's largest travel companies, and the guide is bilingual, so commentary can be in both Japanese and English. The visit covers both countries. After crossing the Rainbow Bridge into Canada (passports required), the group stops at the Table Rock Welcome Centre, right at the edge of Horseshoe Falls, close enough to feel the spray. From May to December a 20-minute Voyage to the Falls boat ride follows, with a mist poncho provided. From January to April the stop is Journey Behind the Falls instead. The group then crosses back into the United States and walks Niagara Falls State Park, the oldest state park in the country, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, for views of the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls from Luna Island or Prospect Point. Before the return flight there is time at Buffalo airport for souvenirs and Buffalo wings. The flight lands at JFK after 90 minutes, and guests make their own way to their accommodation.
