This four-day guided tour from New York City links Niagara Falls with Philadelphia, Amish Country and Washington DC, in a climate-controlled coach or van, with hotel accommodation included. It leaves Port Authority at 6:30 am. The first day heads north past the Delaware Water Gap to Watkins Glen State Park, where a walk through the canyon passes its waterfalls, then continues by Seneca Lake to Niagara Falls for the late afternoon. In winter the stop is Montour Falls instead. The US side takes in the American Falls, Goat Island and Luna Island, followed by the evening light show of the Illuminated Falls. Travelers who prefer Canada cross the border for the view from the other side. The next morning is Horseshoe Falls up close and the Maid of the Mist (May to October), or the Power Vista Hydroelectric Station and Cave of the Winds in winter until April. The route then turns to Philadelphia: the Liberty Bell, Constitution Square, Congress Hall and Elfreth's Alley, a panoramic drive, and the Rocky Steps. Lancaster County follows, with an Amish buggy ride and a marketplace of handmade crafts. Washington DC takes the rest of the trip. Stops include the Jefferson Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery (passport or US ID required), the Smithsonian museums, Capitol Hill, the White House, and the Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Korea and Vietnam Memorials. The return reaches New York in the evening.
