Niagara Falls, Toronto and 1000 Islands 3-Day Coach Tour from NYC with River Cruise
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
New York CityA climate-controlled coach carries this three-day trip north from New York City and across the border, with nights at Niagara Falls and in Gananoque in the 1000 Islands area. Day one passes the Delaware Water Gap and Seneca Lake on the way to Watkins Glen State Park, where a walk through the canyon takes in its waterfalls, before arriving at Niagara Falls in the late afternoon. The US side is toured at night, when the water is lit in color. Day two begins with a view of Horseshoe Falls, followed by the village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. In Toronto the stops are HTO Park, Brookfield Place (home of the Hockey Hall of Fame), City Hall and the Distillery Historic District. Toward evening the coach drives east along Lake Ontario to the 1000 Islands area. In April, depending on the weather, the night may be spent back at Niagara Falls instead. Day three opens with a cruise on the St. Lawrence River past Boldt Castle and Heart Island, among the houses built on private islands. On the way back the coach stops at the Delaware Water Gap, then at an outlet mall before returning to New York, at about 7 to 8 pm. The operator plants one tree per passenger through One Tree Planted. Mostly in April and October, depending on conditions, Montour Falls replaces Watkins Glen State Park and the Journey Behind the Falls replaces the Maid of the Mist.
