Morocco Tourism Travel runs this day trip with two people in the vehicle: a driver, and a certified local guide who is a different person. The air-conditioned vehicle picks travelers up at their inn or riad early in the morning, and the drive to the Ourika Valley takes about an hour and a half. A stop in a Berber village brings a traditional breakfast in a local house, with Moroccan bread, honey, olives, goat cheese and mint tea. At another village, a traditional house with adobe walls and clay roofs is opened to visitors, with handwoven carpets inside and goats and hens outside. A viewpoint offers a long look over valleys and the Atlas Mountains, and a cooperative explains the traditional steps of making argan oil. Once in the valley, the hike goes to the Setti Fatma waterfalls with the guide, and natural pools allow a swim. Lunch by the river is optional and comes with the option chosen, with tagine, couscous and fresh salads on offer. The price covers the round trip, the driver and the guide, and leaves out lunch and personal expenses. The return starts in the early afternoon.
