Ourika Waterfall Day Trip from Marrakech with Dar Zite Visit and Optional River Lunch
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
MarrakechOurika Valley sits about 60 km from Marrakech, and this seven-hour day trip covers it with a driver, a guide and a walk to the waterfalls at Setti Fatma. The road climbs for roughly an hour into the Atlas Mountains before the first real stop, Dar Zite, a Berber house in Tamzenndirt where mint tea is served and the hosts explain how argan oil and other natural products are made. Anything on display can be bought, but nobody has to. From there the group is driven on to Setti Fatma, and a professional guide leads the hike up toward the cascades. The trail brings views over the Atlas Mountains and a chance to photograph the falls. Back by the river, the day ends at a restaurant where lunch is ordered from the menu. Lunch is optional and drinks at the table cost extra. The booking covers a small breakfast, a bottle of water in the morning, vegetarian and gluten-free options, and round-trip transfer from a riad, hotel or Airbnb in Marrakech. The driver speaks English, French and Arabic, and a booking takes up to 30 travelers.
