Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip, 8:00 Departure, Guided Hike, Boat Ride and Lunch Option
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
MarrakechThe schedule is fixed and easy to follow: departure from Marrakech at 8:00 a.m., arrival at the falls around 11:00 a.m., and back in the city around 6:00 p.m. The pickup is at a hotel or riad in Marrakech, or at an agreed meeting point. The drive of about three hours crosses the plains around Marrakech and Berber villages, with a coffee break halfway. At Ouzoud there is first some free time to look around and take photos. A guided hike of two hours follows, led by a local guide around the 110-meter waterfalls and out to viewpoints that show them from different angles. Berber monkeys that live in the region are often met on the way. Lunch is at about 1:00 p.m. at a local restaurant overlooking the falls, with traditional Moroccan dishes; it is optional, depending on the formula chosen. Then comes an hour of free time, which can go on a swim in the natural pools at the foot of the waterfalls or on resting. A boat ride at the base of the falls brings the cascades close. The return leaves around 3:00 p.m. and takes about three hours.
