Pepper's Choice Dominica: Emerald Pool, Trafalgar Falls, Mero Beach, Ti Kwen Glo Cho
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
DominicaPepper's Choice squeezes four of the island's best-known stops into six hours: two waterfalls, a black sand beach and a sulphur spa. The operator's pitch is timing, with each site visited at a good moment, and a friendly pace, plus complimentary drinks along the way. The Emerald Pool walk goes through forest to a viewpoint of a waterfall within five minutes. Travelers can walk down another ten minutes to the easier waterfall, which has naturally shaped steps leading into the Emerald Pool. Mero Beach is next: a volcanic black sand beach right where the van stops, with local restaurants and bars, recliner chairs and umbrellas for rent, and fresh water showers and washrooms included. At Trafalgar Falls a ten-minute walk reaches a covered platform facing the twin falls, known as Mama and Papa. The finale is Ti Kwen Glo Cho, with landscaped grounds, a small waterfall, a mini zoo and a choice of naturally heated sulphur pools or tubs. All fees and taxes are included. Food is not. The tour suits all fitness levels but is not recommended for pregnant travelers, travelers with spinal injuries or those with poor cardiovascular health. Up to 13 travelers can book, with guiding in English. The group meets at Almanda on Dr River Street in Roseau.
