Plitvice Lakes Guided Day Tour from Zadar with Boat, Train and Old Town Walk
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
ZadarThe day starts at the Zadar in and out office on Ul. Aleksandra Paravije, where a local guide checks everyone in, and it ends there too. An air-conditioned bus covers the drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park, the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Croatia. Inside, the route is chosen to cover both the Upper and Lower Lakes, with about 4 hours on the trails and wooden boardwalks and stories from the guide about the park, its wildlife and Croatia's natural heritage. Two rides are part of the day. A panoramic electric boat crosses Kozjak Lake, and a train runs through the forest. Before the group leaves, there is a stop at Veliki Slap, the highest waterfall in Croatia. Back in Zadar, a guided walking tour of the Old Town is included. It starts at 6:00 PM on any day of the stay, in front of Novi Cafe beside the Roman column. Lunch is not included. The park entry ticket comes with the option that includes entrance, and pickup and drop-off with the Small Group option. Up to 30 travelers can book together, and the guiding is in English.
