This small group day trip leaves from Split or Trogir for Plitvice Lakes, the most visited national park in Croatia. The park is on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List, and in 2014 it set a record with 1.18 million visitors. On the way there is a coffee break in the small town of Knin. In the park a professional guide leads the walk along wooden paths right beside the water. The route includes boardwalks and views of lakes, waterfalls and canyons, and from the road there are panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and the green mountains of Lika. The park has a network of 16 lakes and over 90 waterfalls. A boat crosses Kozjak Lake, and an electric train takes the group from Prošćansko Lake back to the starting point. On the way back the group stops at Restaurant Vila Velebita in Korenica for a break and coffee. The restaurant sits at the foot of Mount Plješevica, about 10 km from the national park. Meetings are at the South Tours office in Trogir and in Split. A full refund is available up to 24 hours before departure.
