Private Banyumala and Banyuwana Waterfall Hike with Ulun Danu Bratan Temple (7/7)

A private hiking day in North Bali built around two waterfalls. The first, Banyumala, is reached on a path that drops into the forest past tropical flowers and banana trees. The second, Banyuwana, takes a 30-minute hike with a steep descent, and some of the stairs are a real challenge, so walkers should go carefully. The route also crosses a stream, either on stepping stones or by wading through. Along the way the valley opens out to terraced rice fields and clove and cocoa plants, and the water at Banyuwana is very clean and cold. From there the car heads to Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, a temple complex on the shore of Lake Bratan near Bedugul, about 45 minutes from Sekumpul. The last stop is a coffee plantation where luwak coffee may be on offer. The tour ends with a hotel drop-off. The booking covers private transportation, an English-speaking driver, hotel or port pickup and drop-off, and all fees and taxes. Lunch is not included. Bring a change of clothes, sport shoes, sunscreen, a waterproof camera and a bag to keep valuables dry. The tour suits ages 12 to 65, needs a minimum of 2 people per booking, and takes up to 15.
