This private day trip from Dubrovnik takes up to 8 travelers, starting at your hotel or a designated meeting point in an air-conditioned vehicle with Wi-Fi on board. Guiding is in English, and the day lasts about 9 hours, driving time included. The route runs into Bosnia and Herzegovina through mountains, rivers and deep green valleys, with Mostar as the first stop. In Mostar the Old Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spans the emerald Neretva. There is time for the cobbled streets of the old town, its architecture and souvenir shops. The city has been shaped by the Ottoman Empire, which ruled the region for centuries, and by the Austro-Hungarian Empire that followed, and the mix shows in its buildings, cuisine and customs. Lunch comes after the old town, at one of the restaurants in Mostar, and costs extra. A guided walking tour with a local guide is recommended but is paid separately. After lunch the road leads to Kravice Waterfalls, a system of cascades and pools set among greenery and rocky cliffs, with dense forests and meadows around. Visitors can swim in the clear water, follow the walking trails or simply rest.
