Private Oropendola Waterfall and Rio Negro Hot Springs Tour from Hacienda Guachipelin

This private day starts at the adventure desk in front of the main restaurant at Hacienda Guachipelin, near Liberia. The first stop is Oropendola Waterfall, a 10-minute walk from the parking lot on a flat trail. The trail ends at hanging bridges that run from the top of the waterfall down to the river, and swimming is allowed. Towels are not provided there, so bring one. The second stop is the Rio Negro hot springs, another flat 10-minute walk from the parking lot, with pools at different temperatures and an optional mud bath. Towels are provided at the springs. A Costa Rican buffet is part of the day, and the entrance fees for the waterfall and for Rio Negro are covered. Neither stop is wheelchair accessible. The tour suits all fitness levels, service animals are allowed and infant seats are available. Guiding is offered in English and Spanish, a booking can have up to 30 travelers, and the whole outing takes about eight hours.
