Private car, hotel pickup and a guide: this seven-hour trip from Marrakech to the Ourika Valley is run for one party rather than a shared group. The first stop is a panoramic viewpoint over the High Atlas, with valleys and Berber villages below. Next the car stops at a traditional Berber house, where the host explains customs, architecture and daily life, and mint tea is served in a family home that has passed down through generations. The second cultural stop is a women's argan oil cooperative in Tnin Ourika, which shows the handmade extraction and sells a range of products, from cooking oils to cosmetics. Then comes the walk of the day, a hike of about an hour and a half to the Setti Fadma waterfalls with a licensed local guide, over mountain trails and across small streams. The booking includes a small breakfast and two bottles of water, with vegetarian and gluten-free options. Lunch at a riverside restaurant in Setti Fadma is optional, with a choice of traditional Moroccan dishes. A camel ride can be added as an option. The driver speaks English, French and Arabic.
