Private Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Tour from Marrakech with Boat Ride and Local Guide Option

Ouzoud sits 150 km from Marrakech and is one of the most visited destinations in Morocco. This private day trip is for travelers who want it to themselves: a driver picks them up at the riad or hotel at around 8:30 and takes them there, with no other group on board. At the falls the plan is open. Visitors can look around, watch the monkeys in the trees and feed them, and take a boat ride under the waterfalls for EUR 2. The waterfalls plunge 110 meters (360 feet). A local guide, available for EUR 30, leads the hike down the paths to the bottom of the falls through olive groves, with colorful views of the water and the surroundings, and the paths up to the top lead to the grain mills that give the falls their name and to a view looking straight down on the cascades. Lunch is a Berber tagine, or other Moroccan food of the traveler's choice, at a restaurant with an overview of the waterfalls. The drive out starts with about 1 hour 15 minutes on the road, then a 15-minute coffee break at Ouled Khellouf and 45 more minutes to the falls. The way back stops for coffee at Tamallalt.
