This private tour is a full day on foot in Plitvice Lakes National Park, reached from Split. The park is not a picnic destination: the visit never stays in one place, and the route covers at least 6 km of walking past many small and big waterfalls. Croatia has 8 national parks, and this is the only one protected by UNESCO. The road passes through Split, the second largest city in Croatia, whose Diocletian's Palace is 17 centuries old. It then crosses a bridge with a view of Skradin, the small town at the center of Krka National Park. Inside Plitvice the highlight is Veliki Slap, 78 m tall, the biggest waterfall in the park and in the country. After the walk there is an option to stop at one of the local restaurants in the area. A full refund is available when the booking is cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
