Rio Celeste and Guanacaste's rainforest are the focus of this private full-day tour from Playa Flamingo. The day starts early with a drive of about 2 hours 30 minutes each way, and the guide shares information about the history, crops, climate and culture of Guanacaste and Costa Rica on the road. The first activity is a sanctuary visit of 1 hour 30 minutes, with trails through primary and secondary forest and a look for birds, frogs, insects, sloths and monkeys. A walk in the national park follows, covering the natural relationships of the forest and ending at the Rio Celeste waterfall. A Costa Rican lunch lasting about 1 hour is served after the hike.
