This is a private transfer from Split to Zagreb that breaks the journey at Plitvice Lakes National Park. The road runs through the Croatian hinterland and the mountain region of Lika before reaching the park. At the park entrance the driver drops guests off. A guide for Plitvice Lakes can be arranged on request, but the guide is not included in the price of the transfer. From there guests walk the park for a stop of 3 to 4 hours, along the string of sixteen cascading lakes linked by waterfalls. The park has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1979. When the walk is over, the driver is waiting at the same spot to continue to Zagreb. The Upper Lakes are 12 lakes resting on a waterproof dolomite base formed in the late Triassic Period. The Lower Lakes lie in a canyon of permeable limestone, and the highest rocks in it reach about 40 meters. All sales are final and no refund is available for cancellations.
