Rio Celeste Hike to Los Teñideros, Waterfall and River Swim at Don Alexis Farm
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
La FortunaThis hike covers the part of Tenorio Volcano National Park that explains the colour of the river. Inside the park the route visits the Blue Lagoon and Los Teñideros, where two streams with different minerals and chemical composition meet and turn a turquoise blue, then the Rio Celeste waterfall and Los Borbollones, with views over the tropical rainforest. After the park, a stop at an ancient tree is for a photograph before the road continues to Don Alexis Farm. The farm is where the day slows down. There is time to step into the river and swim in turquoise water, to rest in a hammock and to eat a Costa Rican lunch. The tour is run by Seven Tours Costa Rica.
