Rio Celeste, Llanos de Cortes Swim and Sloth Watching Rainforest Day Trip
The day links three nature stops in Guanacaste and Alajuela. It begins at the Llanos de Cortes waterfall, 25 minutes from Liberia, which is easy to reach and has warm, clear, shallow water that suits swimming. Next comes a guided walk through the rainforest of Tenorio Volcano National Park to the Rio Celeste waterfall and its natural turquoise water. The third stop is Spring Paradise Bijagua Tours, where the aim is to see a sloth in its natural habitat. The guided hike there is very easy, and it also introduces frogs such as the red-eyed frog, toucans, and coffee and cocoa trees. The operator's website is purenatureprivatetours.com, and it presents the day as a soft adventure for nature lovers, photographers and families. Meeting points are car parks and landmarks in Playa Flamingo, Tamarindo, Coco, Nacascolo, Liberia and Plaza Santa Rosa, several of them with private security.
