Rio Celeste Waterfall, Slothland Bijagua and Coffee-Chocolate Farm Day Trip
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
La FortunaThis day is built around the turquoise Rio Celeste, in Tenorio Volcano National Park, with two more stops in Bijagua. The river is the main attraction of the park: its intense celestial blue comes from a natural phenomenon, and rainforest with a wide variety of plant and animal species surrounds it. The crater of Tenorio Volcano cannot be climbed, but the volcanic landscape is in view. From the park the day continues to Slothland Bijagua, a private reserve where sloths move freely in a protected environment. A walk through the property is the chance to watch them up close, along with other animals such as toucans, monkeys and frogs. A typical Costa Rican lunch with a drink and dessert is included in the price. The last stop is a coffee and chocolate farm. The interactive tour follows both products from the plant to the tasting and explains the artisan process in the Costa Rican way. Guests who need the operator's transportation should contact the operator in advance, since the meeting point is Tenorio Volcano National Park itself.
