Trafalgar Falls, Sulphur Springs and Champagne Reef Snorkel Tour in Dominica
Cold water, hot ground and a snorkel in between. This four-hour trip from Roseau links three sights in and around Morne Trois Pitons National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and finishes in the sea at Champagne Reef. Trafalgar Falls comes first: a walk to the viewing platform, where the twin waterfalls drop side by side. The Wotten Waven area follows, with sulphur springs and mini geysers and fumaroles, and a look at the volcanic heritage behind them. The last stop is Champagne Beach, where snorkelers swim through streams of rising bubbles past coral, sponges and colorful fish. Snorkeling gear is included. Travel is in an air-conditioned vehicle, and all fees and taxes are covered. Each traveler completes a liability waiver before the excursion. Tips are not included. A high level of physical fitness is required, and the trip is not recommended for pregnant travelers or for anyone with a spinal injury or poor cardiovascular health. Guiding is in English, for up to 15 travelers. The group meets at the Fort Young Hotel on Victoria Street in Roseau, where a sign reading TRIP ADVISOR marks the spot.
