Victoria Falls Walking Tour with Local Guides, Falls Trail and Victoria Falls Bridge

Mosi-oa-Tunya, "The Smoke That Thunders", is walked along the falls trail on the Zambian side with local guides who explain it from three angles. The first is the cascade itself and its rainbows. The second is geology: how the Zambezi cut this gorge over millions of years. The third is wildlife, since animals move through the surrounding rainforest and national park as the seasons change. The route also takes in the Victoria Falls Bridge, which spans the gorge between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is a chance to look at the engineering and at the views down into the gorge. Groups are small. The price covers the entrance fee, bottled water and an air-conditioned vehicle. The tour lasts about two hours and suits all fitness levels. Up to 15 travelers can book together, guiding is in English, and a mobile or paper ticket is accepted.
